The highest peak in South Africa does not fall short of its name; one should take careful consideration of their fitness level and appropriate gear, especially their footwear, when taking this trip. The elevation gain is big and the distances are long, but the views are worth it.


DAY 1

Distance: 15 KM | Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous | Elevation: 850 M

Our journey begins with a pleasant walk from Injisuthi hutted camp, the river crossing is an exciting encounter that finds us at our best.


We proceed to meander along side Injisuthi River to Mbovaneni for 10.5 km till we begin Heartbreak Hill, the heartbreak goes on for another 4.5 km till we reach our home for the night, Centenary hut.
