Tucked into a secluded valley beneath some of the Central Drakensberg’s highest peaks, Injisuthi is a destination for travellers who want to disconnect and experience the mountains in their most natural form. The journey into the reserve leads through rural landscapes before arriving at a quiet camp surrounded by rivers, grasslands, indigenous forest and towering mountain ridges.

Injisuthi is an important starting point for walks to Battle Cave, Grindstone Caves, Marble Baths and longer wilderness routes towards Mafadi, Leslie’s Pass and the High Berg. Visitors can enjoy hiking, trout fishing, birdwatching, rock-art experiences and evenings around the fire.
