Kamberg Nature Reserve is an intimate mountain retreat set among rolling grasslands, clear trout waters and the gentler foothills of the Central Drakensberg. Its small scale and quiet surroundings make it especially attractive to couples, photographers, birdwatchers and travellers seeking a slower, more secluded Drakensberg experience.

The reserve is best known as the gateway to Game Pass Shelter, one of Southern Africa’s most significant San rock-art sites. Guided excursions combine a scenic mountain walk with interpretation of the paintings, beliefs and history of the San people.
